Big Bass Before The Storm

I have had some luck on a little State Fishing Lake near by catching good bass. There was a storm coming in so I thought we had about a hour before the storm would hit. The wind was blowing pretty good, and the spot that had been holding good fish for almost a year was not going to work with the wind blowing in on it. We had Trey along this trip and it was just not very safe to fish in those conditions. The week before I had caught some good fish on a bank that was out of the wind, and we decided to start fishing there. It didn’t take very long for the twins to hook up. We had been throwing green pumpkin Lizards this year with a lot of luck. We caught a lot of good fish in a hour before the rain hit and had to get off the water. Just before we got off the water, Kyle hooked up with a very good bass that would weigh 4.9 lb. We get pretty excited when we catch a good bass. I hope you like the video.

Fun at the Lake as a Family

We went to prefish for an upcoming tournament for the twins. The lake was very high from the recent rains we had received, but it would turn out to be a very fun family outing. There is nothing like spending the day outside with the family without any TV or tablets. I didn’t even get a fishing pole out for me to fish on the whole outing.  It was just a blast to watch the boys catch fish.
